Timescapes of “tomorrow-yesterday”:

A Photo-Literary Journey

Coming Soon to Seattle and San Francisco

A photo-literary exhibit of images inspired by the poetry contained in Cuban-American poet Jorge Enrique González-Pacheco's book, Bajo la luz de mi sangre|Under the Light of my Blood, published in 2009 in a bilingual Spanish-English edition. This is a multi-media collaboration between literature and photography, between a poet and his words and a photographer and her images. Yet the distinction is blurry from the beginning. Through the concrete lens of the camera, the photos examine the breathtaking, dreamlike, yet also—and beautifully so, almost contradictorily so—very real, even palpable quality of González-Pacheco’s lyrical mystical poems.
